My name is J.T. Lawlor. I am a 22-year-old marine industry professional and aspiring entrepreneur driven by hard work, independence, and a long-term vision to build businesses that create real value. Born in Florida and raised in the Carolinas, I developed an early connection to the water and Lowcountry culture that continues to shape both my career and entrepreneurial direction.

I began working in the marine industry at 15 and have gained experience as a deckhand, charter fishing mate, fleet manager, and dock manager. Through roles with Carefree Boat Club and Destination Boat Clubs, where I currently manage Lake Wylie operations, I’ve built a reputation for leadership, adaptability, and hands-on problem solving. My experience spans waterways across the Southeast and includes vessel operations, maintenance, logistics, and client services.

At my core, I am motivated by the pursuit of financial independence, building something meaningful, and creating opportunities for the people around me. I represent a new generation of blue-collar entrepreneurs who believe in learning from the ground up, earning trust through consistency, and building success through discipline, resilience, and long-term thinking.

My long-term goal is to build a lasting businesses focused around marine services, real estate, and strategic investments. This includes growing King Tide Marine Services and eventually expanding into related sectors like marinas, storage, property management, and powersports service, creating a connected platform of coastal and lifestyle businesses.
